Frequently asked questions
Are notary fees the same everywhere in Spain?
Yes. They are set by Real Decreto 1426/1989 (Royal Decree 1426/1989) and do not depend on the city or on whether the procedure is done in person or online. Every notary applies the same schedule.
What does the official notary fee pay for?
The notary reviewing and authorising the deed, their advice to the parties and keeping the original in their records. We prepare the draft. It does not include the taxes on the transaction (ITP, AJD, inheritance tax) or Land Registry costs.
Is the result the final amount?
It comes from the official scale. The final amount changes with the number of pages, the authorised copies and the documents attached to the deed. For a closed figure, ask us.
