What can be done remotely and what cannot
Almost all the preparation is done remotely: you send us the documents, we draft the deed and explain it to you by phone or video call.
How you sign depends on the procedure. Since Ley 11/2023 (Law 11/2023), powers of attorney for specific acts and company formation can be signed with the notary by video call. General and lasting powers of attorney and wills are made in person. Inheritance, property sales and donations are signed before a notary, and if you cannot go, through a power of attorney in favour of someone else.
A deed signed by video call has the same legal value as one signed at the notary's office.
Usual timeframes
- Power of attorney: under 48 hours once we have all the paperwork.
- Limited company via CIRCE: 7 hours.
- Inheritance: 2 to 8 weeks, depending on the heirs and the assets.
When you tell us about your case, we will give you the timeframe for yours.
